We would like to invite as many of you as possible to get involved in our annual sponsored walk. It is taking place on Sunday 2nd October at 2pm.
For those of you who have not attended a walk yet it is a nice leisurely 5 mile stroll across the forest or you may do half if you wish. It is always a very enjoyable day and a great opportunity to get to know new staff and families alike. Followed by refreshments of tea and biscuits. And to all of you that come every year thank you so much for your ongoing support.
Every year we chose a project or item which we fund-raise towards. This year Brian Kermode, Alison’s father and a long serving board member passed away. We would like to dedicate the funds collected to the memory of Brian and add them to kind donations already received in his memory. Brian’s family have agreed that the money will go towards redoing the set of ponds opposite the memorial garden so that water once again trickles beneath the oak tree. We hope that you will help us to achieve this goal.
