The autumn is on its way and the mist is hanging over the forest. The time for the sponsored walk is nearly upon us already. This year the walk will be on Sunday the 4th October. We hope that as many of you as possible can be involved in some way.
With the funds raised last year the preparatory work for the development of the Oaklea and Gorsedene site was conducted. Environmental architect Gordon Clarke helped the community create a plan for the new building. The planning process is still ongoing and we are hoping to begin fundraising for this project in the near future. We will keep you updated on further developments.
The money raised this year will help us fund several smaller scale projects:
- The beautiful water flow-form (by the workshop building), which over the years has become an integral feature of our garden, is in need of refurbishment.
- A new initiative to process some of our garden produce requires the purchase of a food dehydrator. This will enable us to offer another activity for the residents as well as making better use of the apples and herbs which grow in the garden.
- The remaining proceeds will go towards the garden development at Oaklea/Gorsdene.
Every contribution would be greatly appreciated. Donations can now be made also via our website (www.nutleyhall.org).
We look forward to being a part of the event again and seeing you all on the day.
